In Reveries of Collective Walkers (Reading to Plants), Orlow invites visitors to read aloud to plants in the Gardens of La Biennale. What might a plant like to hear? Orlow’s incisive and contemplative practice beckons us towards what can be called a “vegetal pedagogy”: it shows how respiring and conspiring with plants can encourage botanical decolonialisation, and stand as ethical action and ecological repair.
