Sharjah Biennial 13: Tamawuj | Sharjah Art Foundation, Sharjah

The thematic focus of SB13 is grounded in the four keywords water, crops, earth and culinary, which form the foundations of social interaction and exchange. Just as the thematic keywords are porous and feed into one another, SB13 places researchers and interlocutors in conversation with one another, and with Sharjah. Its multi-city, multi-part programmes are envisaged as infrastructures to channel knowledge transmission and information sharing between artists, curators, editors, researchers and the general public. This fluidity of knowledge irrigates new, enduring terrains of collaboration and references the threefold meaning of Tamawuj: a rising and falling in waves; a flowing, swelling, surging or fluctuation; and a wavy, undulating appearance, outline or form.

Between past and future emerges another present | Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum Cultures of the World, Cologne

Uriel Orlow is presenting Forest Futures as part of the group show Between past and future emerges another present at Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum Cultures of the World, Cologne, Germany.

Numerous artists and communities open up new perspectives on memory, displacement, belonging and the future. Through video work, installations, performances and participatory formats, the exhibition creates a diverse space for encounter and experience.

With works by Saodat Ismailova, Federico Cuatlacuatl, Kader Attia, Pınar Öğrenci, Kara Walker, Kiri Dalena, Hiba G. Isleem, farkhondeh shahroudi, Jacqueline Hen, Duane Linklater, Ayaka Terajima and many others.

Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art | The Base Greenham, Newbury, United Kingdom

Marking 75 years since the Festival of Britain, Hayward Gallery Touring presents an exhibition bringing together artists who have participated in the British Art Show, at The Base this autumn.

This vibrant and eclectic exhibition brings together 50 acclaimed artists who have participated in the British Art Show – widely recognised as the most important recurrent exhibition of contemporary art produced in the UK – since its inception in 1979.

Taking inspiration from Marcel Duchamp’s La Boîte-en-Valise [Box in a Suitcase] – a ‘portable museum’ contained within a suitcase – each artist has created a new, small-scale work that responds to their original British Art Show presentation. The result is a condensed yet expansive overview of a half-century of British art history – certainly an exhibition not to be missed! Uriel Orlow’s Artist Lecture: Conversing With Leaves

The lecture opens a two-day workshop led by Uriel Orlow, exploring ways of communicating with and through plants, during which students co-create a Viennese iteration of the performance Reveries Of Collective Walkers.

The performance takes place on Wednesday July 1st, 2026 at Stadtpark Vienna in the framework of Angewandte Festival.

An event organised by the Department of Artistic Strategies and Klasse für Alle.

Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art | Williamson Art Gallery & Museum, London

In 1951, the Festival of Britain acted as a beacon of post-war hope, launching a landmark touring exhibition that brought world-class art to local museums and art centres across the UK. Seventy-five years later, Hayward Gallery Touring honours this legacy with Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art, a contemporary reimagining of that original vision.

The exhibition brings together 50 acclaimed artists who have participated in the British Art Show – the UK’s definitive five-year curated survey of contemporary art – since its inception in 1979. Taking inspiration from Marcel Duchamp’s Boîte-en-valise – a “portable museum” contained within a suitcase – each artist has created a new, small-scale work that responds to their original British Art Show presentation. SIBYLLA | Art Basel, Switzerland

SIBYLLA unfolds as an exhibition, curated by Sónia Taborda and Joerg Bader, that evokes the Latin name as a way of thinking about human connection beyond time.

A performance by Uriel Orlow unfolds in parallel with his presentation at the Giardini of La Biennale di Venezia, extending its conceptual and sensory inquiry into the context of Basel.

Developed in collaboration with Maria João Pires and Martin Masan, music curators of the project, the work takes place in the garden, where musicians perform with and for plants, activating a subtle dialogue between human and more-than-human forms of listening.
